Tom Vicek qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Illinois in 1992. He completed a residency/PhD program in veterinary pathology at Louisiana State University in 1999. He then worked for three and a half years as a pathologist at the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory where he studied and passed board examinations becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. During this time he completed the diagnosticians foreign animal disease training course at the USDA Plum Island Animal Disease Center. He subsequently spent two years as an instructor in foreign animal diseases for the USDA supervisor education program. Tom joined Rest Associates in January 2003 and moved to Finn Pathologists in 2006. His professional interests include the pathology of the liver and neoplasia.
